"Observe this extensive accomplishment. Look at this ethnic cleansing," a fighter exclaims.

The individual smiles as he points the recording device on his own face and his companion militiamen, their RSF badges clearly shown: "They will all die in this manner."

The combatants are exulting in a massacre that relief organizations fear claimed the lives of over 2,000 civilians in the African urban center of al-Fashir during October.

An Urban Center Cut Off from the Globe

Having held the community under siege for approximately an extended period, from August the RSF moved to consolidate its dominance and prevent access for the leftover inhabitants.
