Dean Henderson Had little to do to make in the first half but then forced to intervene by Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. A sliding challenge on Qazim Laci highlighted sharp game intelligence. Six out of ten

Jarell Quansah Challenged by the opposition's main danger in their forward. Played through the middle to begin with later drifted wider once Saka was introduced. 7

The defender Moved forward with the ball at his feet, as he has done previously. On occasion seemed hesitant on the ball and the experiment discontinued at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A nuisance from dead balls, per usual, but may be a replacement for Stones in defense instead of paired with him. A careless pass after the break nearly resulted in the first goal for Albania. 6

The young full-back A further confident performance by the rising star after his debut versus Serbia. Saka did not capitalize on the opportunity from a clever touch behind the Albania defence. The role looks secure so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton His first start for his country. A bit careless when playing out though his inswinging corners posed a danger. An effective pace-controller for the boss to have against teams who drop deep. Cautioned for a rash challenge. 6

Declan Rice Crosses from corners and set-plays created chances. Had room to roam in left midfield only to be in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a merited rest around the 60-minute point. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in a high position on the right and did plenty of dirty work. Showed moments of class and mishit an effort over. Withdrawn in the closing stages by Rogers, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's best chance of the first half, his shot smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, he had to provide width out wide although his balls into the box were inconsistent. Replaced with 15 to go. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. The opener a typical poacher’s finish while the second a classy header having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side have every chance in future competitions with him up top. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a good opening after being played in from a teammate however the keeper denied him. Rashford made much more of effect when substituted. 5/10

• Anderson (on for Wharton in the 75th minute) Seems settled at this level, Six
• Rogers (for Bellingham 84) Insufficient minutes to make an impact, Six
